David's work projects include:
- Atlantic PhilanthropiesEngaged key national leaders in the launching of the older adult civic engagement movement. Outcomes include the creation of an agreed upon unifying vision and long-term coordinated fundable actions.

- Atlantic Philanthropies and Open Society InstituteFacilitated a strategic plan to abolish the death penalty in the United States by 2025. The process, involving key legal and advocacy organizations, resulted in a coordinated national and state- by-state campaign.

- Survivor CorpsHelped facilitate the transformation of Landmine Survivors Network, from strictly landmine focused to a broader partnership organization whose mission it is to support survivors of war, conflict and trauma.

- Shell OilCoordinating large system change with diverse teams, David helped Shell implement a $260 million SAP conversion that far exceeded expectations.

- Summit for America's FutureChaired by Colin Powell during the Clinton administration and co-facilitated by David, this project united governors from every state, senators, and the mayors from every major city in focusing on understanding and implementing best practices for youth.

- Barclays BankFor the last eight years, David has coordinated strategic planning and business alignment sessions for this international financial institution.

- Belfast, Northern IrelandWorking with church committees, David led a conflict mediation effort and created strategies for minimizing inter-faith violence in neighborhoods.

- Women for Women InternationalAdvised in entrepreneurship and leadership development with this leading women's advocacy organization in post-conflict Sarajevo, Bosnia-Herzegovina.
A lecturer at the Wharton School of Business, Canada's Richard Ivey School of Business, and Cambridge University, David authored the best-selling Lightning in a Bottle: Proven Lessons in Leading Change and co-authored The Randori Principles: The Path of Effortless Leadership with Jim Hassinger. His work has been featured in Fortune, Business Week, The New York Times, the Washington Post, and the London Times.

In addition, for more than two decades, David has been leading retreats in leadership, community wisdom, and cross-cultural studies on Lake Temagami in Northern Ontario.

David holds a doctorate in organizational psychology from Temple University, and a second doctorate in divinity from Naropa University. He sits on the board of The MacDowell Art Colony.
